We are a group of friends from southern Germany who have been passionate about Magic: The Gathering for many years. Our journey with Magic started back in school, where we spent our breaks playing match after match. Since then, our love for the game has only grown, along with the experiences we've had at larger tournaments and through countless games together.

Over the years, Magic has evolved. New cards, mechanics, and ideas have been introduced, making the game more diverse. However, not all changes have been met with enthusiasm. As time passed, we noticed that some aspects of the game that once brought us so much joy began to fade into the background. This often sparked discussions in our circle of friends, along with a desire to revisit the magic of a previous era.

That's when the idea came up: what if we could freeze one of the best periods of the game – a time when the Modern format was at its peak for us? Why not bring back this amazing era of Magic and relive it, without it becoming stale or boring? After all, chess remains exciting even after centuries of being played, so why should Magic be any different?

Our project, 2015 Modern, is our attempt to preserve and celebrate this special time in Magic. Through countless rounds, both in small groups and larger gatherings, we’ve found immense joy in rediscovering the best parts of this era.

And now, we want to share that joy with the Magic community. We hope that other players will experience the same fun and fascination that keep bringing us back to this format.
